Whitehaven Beach, Whitsundays
Whitehaven Beach, Whitsundays
The soft white sand will have you wanting to go back. Even though I was there on a cloudy day the water was still blue and crystal clear.
My morning began bright and early in Airlie Beach, where my partner and I ventured on the morning ferry cruise ( https://www.cruisewhitsundays.com/ ) stopping at Hamilton Island on the way to pick up other tourists and locals. From the ferry dock at Hamilton Island looked like a real resort island. They even have golf buggy's for guests on the island to get around, which I thought was totally cool.
As we came around the Whitsunday Island, getting the first glimpse of this gorgeous beach, I knew it was going to be well worth the 1 hour and a bit ferry ride.
Once our feet were finally in the most unreal soft/white sand ever. We walk about half way along the 7km long beach to find a spot to tan and enjoy the beautiful view that was around us. The best part was that it hasn't been ruined by being over populated or civilisation.
It was a successful day of adventuring and relaxing, I say. A tick in the good ol bucket list.
